European Graduate Program

I started working for Cargill in the Manchester sweeteners plant, based initially in the supply-planning department. My current role involves scheduling the production for the refinery and blending station as to which orders are made and when. This involves much collaboration with the customer services department and also the transport planners. It allows me to see a varied picture of the business from the start of the process (an order being placed) to the end (when product is leaving the factory).
In the future I am hoping to move to different areas of the business within the commercial function, and to take on the challenges that face this constantly changing area.
By being part of the European Graduate Programme, I have contact with different people in different functions from all over Europe, and this allows better communication and ideas generation.
Cargill is an exciting company to work for. There are many people who I work with that have had the opportunity to work in different functions and different locations and I see many challenges and opportunities to grow and develop.
